Secondary Curriculum

Key Stages 3 (Years 7 to 9)

Marefat International School guides students from Cambridge Primary to Cambridge Secondary 1 in a seamless manner, while building a strong foundation in the core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science. At this level, students are coached to develop skills and knowledge across a range of Subjects to prepare them to take on the challenges of IGCSE courses.

Key Stage 4 is a two-year IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) course that culminates in examinations administered by CIE (Cambridge International Examination).

During this stage, students will focus on a selection of subjects that include the core subjects of Maths, English and Science, as well as elective subjects such as Business Studies, Economics, English Literature, Additional Mathematics and many others. This allows students to discover their passion for learning as they explore and tailor their curriculum to their own interests.

The IGCSE qualification is highly recognized worldwide, and places importance in content knowledge, application and skills. It is the equivalent of SPM, however with IGCSE, students graduate a year earlier than their SPM counterparts.
